Review Guidelines
Draft for review. This is a plain-language draft prepared for design review — it is not legal advice and is not yet in effect. Final policies will be reviewed before launch. Status: Not yet in effect.
Reviews help neighbors make informed choices. When member reviews launch in a later phase, these guidelines will keep them helpful, honest, and fair. Reviews are pre-moderated — an administrator approves them before they appear publicly.
Write helpful reviews
- Base reviews on your own genuine, first-hand experience.
- Be specific and fair — describe what happened.
- Keep it respectful; critique the experience, not the person.
What's not allowed
- Hate speech, harassment, slurs, or threats.
- False, misleading, or fake reviews, or conflicts of interest.
- Private information about anyone.
- Spam, advertising, or off-topic content.
How moderation works
- Each person may leave one review per business.
- You can edit or delete your own reviews.
- Reviews are reviewed before publishing and may be hidden or removed if they violate these guidelines.
Reporting a review
If a published review breaks these guidelines, you'll be able to report it. Reports go to a moderation queue for a decision.
